Currently trying to build my Twitter follower count on several Twitter accounts that I intend to use to drive traffic to websites and affiliate links. A great tool to use for this is a site called Twitter Karma. Providing your Twitter userid and password allows Twitter Karma to build a list that matches all the people you are following to those people that are following you and generates a screen that allows you to see, for each person in your following and followers lists, whether you are following them, they are following you, or both. Every couple of days I log in to Twitter Karma and select all of the people who I am following who are not following me and utilize Twitter Karma’s bulk unfollow capabilities to unfollow all of these people. Doing this frees up following count so that I can follow additional people who might be more inclined to follow me back.
